While this book is a true prophecy concerning the enemy (the Chaldeans) of God’s people, the book of Habakkuk is written in the form of a prayer to
God with God responding to Habakkuk’s requests. In God’s answers Habakkuk discovers the pathway from questioning God’s actions to confirmation of God’s righteousness and true judgment so much
so that in Habakkuk’s final prayer in chapter 3 he is able to proclaim, "I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my
salvation.”
